Looking for the signs
But can’t find anything
The clues are all around
But they lead to not a thing
They say they know the answer
But they haven’t read the book
They have it all uncovered
But they didn't even look

Claiming they can only see
Bending facts and figures
Into a false reality
They think that they can tell
The timing of the tides
But they're nowhere near an ocean
It's just their foolish pride

They say that they are genuine
But they turn out to be hollow
They never lead the way
There's someone else they follow
Money is their master
They are its puppet on a string
Their lives so morally bankrupt
And hell is all it brings

They are the gatekeepers
Behind a facade they hide
They control the opposition
Pretending they're on their side
Down an endless rabbit hole
They'll send you on you're way
Which leads in all directions
Lost forever you will stay
