Waiting For The Rain

Waiting for the rain to wash away, these evil wicked lies
And shed a light upon the shadow, that was cast upon their eyes
There is nothing to fear but fear itself, how many times has it been said
Yet the many let themselves, be grasped within it's clutch instead

There is no hope when you're living in, a false reality
It reveals only what it wants and chooses what you believe
To a land of the blind they all were led, where the one-eyed man is king
He held all the cards in his hand and dangled the puppets on a string

What can you do when you have found yourself, in a helpless misery
When its heavy weight upon your shoulders, keeps you grounded to your knees
The mighty heroes of the past are gone, there is none to take their place
Their freedoms they would not have traded, for a promise to keep them safe

Now big brother has all he wants, he knows all, what, where and why
His camera lens is keenly focused, there is nowhere left to hide
Yet within this darkness a candle burns, to help us find our way
It's brightness pierces the dark of night but grows weaker day by day
